I'm Carolyn Howgego, #thehashishomeopath, and I became intrigued by Homeopathy when my eldest child was diagnosed with eczema and asthma before he was one years old. I wasn't comfortable with the conventional option of long-term, chemical drugs so visited a Homeopath who quickly helped to restore my son's health using natural homeopathic remedies with no side effects. Ever since, he has been free from any asthma or eczema symptoms and continues to live a happy, healthy life. I went on to use Homeopathy for all my three children and myself.
Seeing the healing effect first hand that homeopathy had on my family's health inspired me to train as a Homeopath and brought about a complete change of direction in my career from a busy PR - to busy Homeopath, enthralled by homeopathy. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Homeopathy from Middlesex University and a Licentiate to Practice from the Centre for Homeopathic Education in London. I developed a special interest in Hashimoto's after I was diagnosed with the condition in 2014. I have healed my own Hashimoto's using homeopathy and remain in remission and asymptomatic. I want other people to know that Hashi's doesn't have to be a life sentence, nor is it something that you will suffer from, or have to take drugs for, for the rest of your life. Homeopathy helped me and it can help you too. Prior to becoming a Homeopath I was a PR at the BBC for ten years, working in various departments but most recently in BBC Sport. I am passionate about sport - and the invigorating feeling physical exercise has on my own wellbeing, so I'm regularly found at Pilates, on a spin bike, or maybe out on the tennis court or on my road bike, or just in the park for a walk with my dog, Meela, and some deep inhalations of fresh air. I'm also a trained dancer - who now just dances for fun.
